The Williams School Art Show kicks off on Thursday, May 31 with a show opening of impressionist style artwork from students in grades K through 5.

The Show Opening features a Parent Social from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. and includes french pastries and refreshments for $5.

On Friday, June 1 the show is free for the whole family all day from 8:20 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Please stop by to see some great impressionist style artwork. On Friday, June 1 the show is free for the whole family all day from 8:20 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The teachers are so thrilled with the painting of the lower half of the cafeteria that we would like to extend the darker green around the rest of the walls. It will look so much cleaner and fresher. We are looking for 2 or 3 families who would be willing to paint on a Sunday morning. It should not take more than 2 hours. Please contact Deborah Gelch dgelch@lasell.edu if you would be willing to paint.

We are looking for a parent who can install a Funhoop on the playground. The Funhoop was given to the school by last year’s 5th grade class. It is similar to a basketball hoop.

A group of 2nd grade parents would like to have a celestial observing night for families of the school. If you have a telescope and would be interested in letting us use it for the evening, please contact Deborah Gelch, dgelch@lasell.edu.

* May 10th is an additional release afternoon, which was negotiated as part of the recently ratified teachers’ contract.

Also, from Rob Clickstein, Food Service Director: Due to the early release day on May 10th, the food service will be canceling lunch and milk orders for that day. A credit will be issued for each. If your child is in an aftercare program you will need to call the food service at 617-559-6315 to reorder a bagel or breakfast fun lunch.
